Edible Garden

THE GARDEN

The Green Campus Project  “edible campus garden” is  approximately 60’ x 112’ is located between McGregor and Royce Hall and contains a mix of vegetables, fruits, and flowers raised using organic methods.

This garden was able to become a reality thanks to help from PACCE, SUFAC, Campus Facilities & Planning, Green Campus Project, Peter Flanary’s Advanced Sculpture class, UW-Platteville student Courtney Alexander, and many others.

SUMMER 2017 WORK DAYS

We invite anyone who is interested in getting dirt under their nails to help us in the garden every TBA.  Your reward for helping? The satisfaction of growing food and taking some harvest home with you!

CAN YOU TAKE PRODUCE?

The short answer is yes!

You may take from the kiosk at any time, or you may come during volunteer hours if you wish to pick straight from the plant. We want to keep good records of our production so that we can share our results with campus.

Alternatively, look for the mini-edible gardens located around campus (you will see veggies growing all over if you look closely). These are planted for everyone to help themselves, whenever they want!

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Green Campus Project runs the garden, they meet every Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. in the Boebel Hall.
